Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Do you have special photos that are sitting and waiting to be scrapbooked? I certainly do! Every season brings me more special memories to record. For today’s project, I am participating in the June Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. Many other crafters and I have linked our blog posts together to enable readers to “hop” from one project to another. Most of our projects will feature the same layout theme as well, in hopes of giving lots of ideas for you to craft.

Building a Layout around a Keyword
Often I will have a great photo of one of the kids that I’d like to scrapbook but no ideas will come to mind. When I asked my oldest son, Trip, to look at his photo for this page, he gave me a few keywords that first came to mind. His ideas were: tooth, picture and out. I chose to use the word “out” to build the page around because he and I both felt it told the story in one word. You see, the past 12 months have been a non-stop loss of baby teeth for our not-such-a-baby boy.
The keyword is created in colors that are reflected in the photo and stamped with Letters For You stamp set. These big letters are easy to position and stamp out well onto my page base. Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate were also carried over to sponging on the laser-cut DSP units. I fussy cut them away from the 12″ x 12″ paper panel and colored with a sponge dauber. Did your eye catch the subtle texture stamps in the background? Artisan Textures stamp set is a great pairing with so many vivid images and it doesn’t try to take the lead. As a last minute addition are pearls because, baby teeth are little pearls!
