Beach theme card for #SIP111
Beach Theme Card
This week at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge, we are creating beach theme cards. This is a great opportunity to create a card with any products you wish while following the idea of a pre set theme. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!

So Many Shells stamp set
So Many Shells is a really cool stamp set. The shells are a layering set, which means that one image is stamped and then another is stamped directly on top to create a realistic looking image. This allows for the addition of stamping techniques as well! TO create the shells on this project I first stamped the bottom layer image onto white card stock. Then with the top layer stamp, I used VersaMark clear sticky ink and clear embossing powder to apply the top image. The result is a deeper shade of ink on the shells in areas that it would naturally occur. Such fun and nice texture!
Creating waves with torn paper
Natural looking waves can be a challenge in themselves. My favorite method for creating waves is to tear the card stock. This lends a natural look to both colored card stock and to vellum. Doesn’t the torn Vellum look like breaking waves? It’s so much fun to tear paper (on purpose!!!). Layering up the shells on the wave unit gave a natural flow to the design.
