Christmas Quilt Slider Card
Today I am happy to bring you a card project I recently completed for AddINKtive Designs, by the wonderfully talented, Bronwyn Eastley. Following one of Bronwyn’s tutorials, I have had a fun time making this Christmas Quilt Slider Card. The tutorial instructions are clear and concise, which really was a help in zipping through this project. I chose to use the tutorial for creating a This Little Piggy slider card and flip it for a Christmas Quilt slider card by using Christmas Quilt Bundle. The Quilt Bundle is fantastic! Have you tried it out yet? Great for so much more than Christmas cards.

One of my favorite things about creating with an AddINKtive Designs tutorial is the flexibility I have in customizing the project. Changing the colors to suit the personalized card is part of the fun of creating a Christmas Quilt Slider Card. I’ve added some personal touches, such as changing the theme of the card, to make it just from me.
This is an interactive card. The spool of thread (Baker’s Twine) actually slides back and forth across the card! The twine is attached to the needle, which is stationary on the sentiment. My kids really had fun with this card!
Here are a few unique touches
For the theme and atmosphere of the card, I used Christmas Quilt stamp set. A stamped quilt top is a great quick recipe for a cozy quilt! The comforting and nostalgic look of the background helps give the overall Christmas theme to this slider card.
Quilt Top Embossing Folder is a nice break up in the texture and look, which works well to attach the slider section. The sentiment also works well to help complete the design and convey the greeting. I used the Everyday Label Punch to feature the greeting, just making it a little bit longer by punching it out from the back of the punch.
