Painted Harvest Watercolor Card
By now you have had a look at the new Autumn themed products in the Fall/Winter Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! and have your favorites. Layered stamped images are always filled with tons of detail and the Painted Harvest stamp set does not fail. To get a different look to these beautiful sunflowers, I’m working them into a watercolor project. Let’s check it out!

Sunflowers never go out of style, do they? Late summer and early Autumn/Fall season I see them here in New Jersey and I remember them all my years living back in Texas as well. I used to grow them and save the seeds to feed to the birds. They are very adept at picking them away from the flower heads. Pairing my love of watercolor with this stamp set was just simply fun for me. After stamping onto watercolor paper, I used a spritzer to mist water on the fresh ink and it was a beautiful burst of color.
To try this project, have fun with unexpected color combos. But I issue you a warning… it’s hard to hit the brakes on this one!
