How to add Felt Leaves to a Card

By now you have had a look at the new Autumn themed products in the Fall/Winter Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! and have your favorites. Beautifully scripted images are always filled with tons of detail and the Painted Harvest stamp set does not fail. To get a different look to these beautiful fonts, I chose to add felt leaves to a card.

Die Cut Felt Leaves from Leaflets Framelits dies

With the addition of dimension, a handmade card takes on a new feature. Texture.

Did you know your Stampin’ Up! Thinlits dies and Framelits will cut an image into craft felt? The fun attraction of adding felt die cuts is attractive for any occasion handmade card. For this project, I chose to use Leaflets Framelits for a Fall themed card project. After they were die cut, I added a touch of ink by applying a cotton swab to the edges of the felt. Sequin Trim and Thread are enough to hold them together and attach to the card with Tear and Tape. It’s a great adhesive!

To try this project, have fun with unexpected color combos. But I issue you a warning… it’s hard to hit the brakes on this one!
