Hello and welcome! I am so happy you have chosen to take part in learning new ways to use your dies in a handmade card. In this class, we will explore new ways to create dramatic effect using these dies in ways that create interest on a card.
Classes are not meant to be taken in a particular order. You can skip to the fourth card and then the first, each lesson is a stand alone project. You can view each tutorial as many times as you need. Once you have purchased a Class Series, it will still be around. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I am available to help with a particular lesson.
The inspiration for these classes is to help you with YOUR inspiration and creative process. By learning a new way to use the products I have featured in these projects, you can duplicate the process to create a card or switch things up a bit. Having the knowledge to make a craft project is half of the job done. Use these ideas as “creative mojo” when you need an idea!
Each session features a photo series, project measurements, supply list and video instruction.
I can’t wait to dive into Creative Die Cuts with you! -Jenny
Session One: Partial Die Cut Floral Frame
This project allows you to create a frame for the card front that has not just an inlay die cut, but a die cut that is part of the frame itself! I used Stylish Stems Framelits dies to create a flower frame that allows you to use any sort of background paper as a contrast. This card design works great for all genders and can easily be adapted to many color schemes.

Session Two: Offset leaflets overlay & Adjusting the Stitched Shapes
This project allows you to create a striking dimension for the card front that has not just an inlay die cut, but a die cut that is part of the picture and offset, to expose the contrast card stock underneath! I use Leaflets Framelits dies to create a leaf that literally pops off the page. Also included is instruction for changing the die cut shape of your Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. I will demonstrate how I change a square die into a rectangle die cut.

Session Three: Stacked die cuts & using the negative space
This lesson’s feature is using word dies and how to create a stack of them to make an focal point for a card front. Once we stack a pile of die cuts together, it’s no longer the same piece of paper as before, but not has the 3D possibilities. Also included in this lesson is a bonus card using the negative space from a watercolor panel. I hope you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to generate this 3D effect to bring a new technique to your crafting.
