Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is the May Creating Kindness Design Team Blog Hop. Our Guest Designer this month is the talented Carolina Evans! We are so happy to have her hopping this month, don’t forget to stop over at her blog (links below) and show some love. Below are links to all of the blogs in this Hop, showing more ideas with how we are inspired in our crafting. Are you excited? I have chosen to create a Mother’s Day card with the Eclipse technique.
May Creating Kindness Blog Hop
measurements for this project
Whisper White Thick card stock card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White card stock layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White card stock panel: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Beautiful Bouquet stamp set
You must be surprised there is not a bird in this project, huh? That’s because I forgot to add one! There are no birds in Beautiful Bouquet, only florals, but it will pair nicely with any bird stamp. For this project, I wanted to create a Mother’s Day card with the Eclipse Technique. It’s easy to create a busy background with this stamp set and also a gorgeous focal point.
Be sure to click the video link below to watch the technique process for this project.
Creating this technique is easy, fun and it is striking. Whether “eclipsing” a word or an image, it is suitable for about any style of stamp. Look closely and you can see the tulip flower is the item that is eclipsed over the word Mom and the word Mom is eclipsed over the background flowers. Oh and lots of sequins to bring it full circle.
