Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Every new Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up! brings all sorts of wonderful stuff but what I most look forward to this year are the amazing 2018 In Colors. There are 5 new colors introduced each year, that will stay around for 2 years. The In Colors are a way to showcase the trendy changes in the colorful world we live in. The colors this year are vibrant and fun and I’m loving them! I did a live video on my facebook page this past week and together we checked out how each color would react with a watercolor wash. Be sure to check out the video link below and tune in to my facebook business page each Wednesday for a chance to craft on the spot!

Love What You Do stamp set
So many new things are happening at the moment. With the upcoming catalog, Stampin Up is offering one of the Suites of product as an early release. The Share What You Love Suite is really a fantastic set of stamps, paper and accessories and I know you will really like them. I’m in love with them! When breaking in a new product, I often take just small elements of the stamp set and work them into a simple watercolor card.
Today’s project is just that… simple watercolor. I used a narrow panel of watercolor paper, heat embossed the floral image with Clear Emboss Powder and added some new ink for a watercolor wash. Watching the diluted color work into the paper, I and the wonderful folks that were in the live broadcast with me, were able to see the colors in action. The large floral image is featured as an overlay in embossed gold on vellum. Simple but really shows off the new colors!
2018 In Colors
Let’s take a look at the new colors! I find myself inspired by color in many ways. Colors react a little different when used in a project with watercolor, than with stamping. Diving into these gorgeous colors, I created 5 cards… each one featuring the same design and stamps but with a different In Color.
Blueberry Bushel (my new favorite!), Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover are the catchy names we have that also are housed in a new stamp pad configuration. The streamlined, compact sized stamp pad also contains a new ink formulation. Theres a de-foamer in the ink that will cut down on bubbles. Not the kind of bubbles my kids enjoy, but the tiny bubbles that can happen while stamping. The markers are also in the new ink and the ink refills as well.
