Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is the April Creating Kindness Design Team Blog Hop. Our Guest Designer this month is the talented Liz Yuille! We are so happy to have her hopping this month, don’t forget to stop over at her blog (links below) and show some love. Below are links to all of the blogs in this Hop, showing more ideas with how we are inspired in our crafting. Are you excited? I have chosen to create and color a card with a Sponge Brayer on Glossy White Paper and the Best Birds stamp set.

Best Birds stamp set
Some of my favorite images are birds. Bird stamps and papercraft supplies are found all over my studio, lol. The idea for this project came from winter’s long reach and all of the snow we have in my small town. The Best Birds stamp set features a beautifully drawn stamp that works well to color with watercolor. The Birds & Blooms stamp set that was made to compliment this stamp set, features a tiny bird that is a great companion to the larger “mama” bird.

Glossy White Paper + VersaMark
Are you a fan of techniques? Being a bit out of the norm, I like to switch up my routine and share a fun surprise with others. To create this technique, I stamped the nest image directly to the Glossy White Paper using Versamark ink. No embossing powder was used, just the ink. Once dry, the ink acts as a barrier and I can add ink over the image and it will soak into to the areas in between the stamped image. I used a sponge brayer and 3 stamp pads for this background.
