Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Do you have special photos that are sitting and waiting to be scrapbooked? I certainly do! Every holiday season brings me more special memories to record. For today’s project, I am participating in the March Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. Many other crafters and I have linked our blog posts together to enable readers to “hop” from one project to another. Most of our projects will feature the same layout design as well, in hopes of giving lots of ideas for you to craft.

A Good Day stamp set
My project started with a photo of my youngest son, standing in front of a window. It’s a sweet photo but what most comes to my mind is the thought of childhood. The photo has a look of natural light, which brings out the rich tones to create a pleasing overall project. My son has a knowing look, don’t you think? He is very observant and tends to use profound facial expressions.
To capture my feelings about this memory, I am adding a little bit of masculine (the wood) and pairing with feminine (florals). The emotion of childhood evokes innocence and a feeling of comfort. A Good Day stamp set was a great way for me to express this on paper. There is an image of a tree with swing and a whimsical bird that fit in perfectly. I watercolored these images and used the new accessories that pair with them in the Occasions Catalog. The two scalloped punches and the little embroidery hoops complete the comfy feel and add great texture to the finished project.
