Hello and thanks for stopping by today! It’s an exciting day here in my little corner of the internet. I am filled with joy to be the Guest Designer for Global Design Project and this week’s color challenge. So filled with joy that in fact, I made it the theme for my project today. Special thanks to the GDP Design Team for having me guest in this challenge. Now, let’s get to the project!

Amazing You stamp set
When creating a card, there are many stamp sets to choose from and many will suite a common purpose. The floral image in Amazing You stamp set is versatile enough to add color or stamp it in colored ink to create a background. Have you stamped it yet in a project? It’s a keeper…. it’s also free in my online store with a $50 product purchase.
To compliment the florals, I added die cuts from Celebrate You and Eclectic Layers Thinlits dies. Celebrate You Thinlits was designed to accompany the Amazing You stamp set with the beautiful word dies. And it’s another Sale-a-bration item that is free with a $100 product purchase. Bonus! The word die I chose from the three in the pack reads “y-o-u” but I flipped it and trimmed the letter “u” to have it read “j-o-y”. This word describes my feeling of creating this special project.
No line watercolor technique
Watercoloring does not need to be intimidating. With so many techniques to choose from, trying them one at a time is a wonderful way to determine what works best for your crafting. The no line watercolor technique is achieved by first stamping in a light colored ink onto watercolor (or similar thickness) paper. With a wet paintbrush or Aqua Painter, apply clean water to the image and then drip in the diluted color. The fluid on the paper will grab hold of and distribute the color in a beautiful and unique way. My images are stamped in yellow, then colored with a base of yellow and then pink was added to bring in the more rich tone.
