Petal Palette Bundle
Here’s an interesting fact: I have created more projects this season with the Petal Palette Bundle than any other product. Hands down, it’s my go to bundle. There is so much potential in this one little package. Actually, it’s two full stamp sets! And I’m using them all. Stay tuned for more projects with the Petal Palette Bundle. It’s currently 10% off in my online store but this sale will end when the catalog retires soon. Don’t miss the saving!
The sentiments in Petal Palette are great for a stacked placement or to place horizontal. I chose to cut apart and stack this sentiment as not to block the colored area. Getting that nicely colored ink blended background helps create the perfect mood.
Ink Blended Background
This is a pretty simple spring color card. It’s the background that I most enjoyed creating. Using an ink dauber and a sponge with ink pads, I gently applied the ink in a circular motion with a very light touch. It has taken me quite a long while to learn to get this type of blend, so if you try to achieve it… please don’t give up. You CAN get the results you are looking for with practice.
Remember to always touch a separate piece of scrap paper before going to the project. This helps to reduce the “streaking” effects that can haunt crafters in our projects. Choosing the right paper is also key! I colored onto Glossy White Paper in this project because it takes very well to ink blending. The summer colors also meld together perfectly… so by choosing which products you add to your project can set you up for failure or success. Take a few moments before starting off to think things through 🙂
