Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is the January Intl Highlights Winners Blog Hop for the projects that were voted on in December over at Kylie Bertucci’s blog. The top ten cards were chosen by voting and are encouraged to make a different project with the same theme for the Intl Highlights Blog Hop. It’s a lot of fun and very generous of Kylie to host us! Thanks, Kylie!

Lovely Wishes stamp set
The Lovely Wishes stamp set has been described as a “sleeper hit” in the 2018 Occasions Catalog. There are beautiful floral images and greetings that can be featured in many ways. I have chosen to watercolor the floral images but not with a standard method… I have used Brusho!
Brusho & Watercolor
Brusho Crystal Color is new in the 2018 Occasions Catalog. In the Brusho pack, there are 5 little tins of powdered watercolor, which are highly concentrated. The powder can be sprinkled onto wet paper for a burst effect, added to dry paper and misted with water for a speckled effects or diluted into a painter’s palette and used as one would normally watercolor. I chose the latter, mixing the powders to get a few unique colors.
Tips for creating this project:
The images are clear embossed onto watercolor paper, to act as a reservoir holding the color. No fuss watercoloring!
After sprinkling the powder into a pan of my watercolor palette, I added one single drop of water. That was plenty.
Sprinkling in a little blue and red before diluting, a beautiful purple came into being.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
