Say Goodnight to the Critters
It didn’t happen all at once, but my two sons really have become fond of stuffed animals. In fact, my oldest son has so many critters piled up on his bed, it reaches two feet tall! He likes to slide his legs up underneath them, feeling the deep pressure in his leg muscles, and it helps him to relax. Some people use a weighted blanket… Trip uses his critters. He can not go to sleep without them! The idea of this goodnight critters birthday card came from the look of the Pick a Pattern DSP and all the little animals. I did fussy cut them all, I know you’re about to ask.
Picture Perfect Birthday
Picture Perfect Birthday is a new stamp set in the 2018 Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up!. I have not yet featured the cool images but have found a great use for the small birthday sentiment. I often make a card that needs a small sized font and looks a bit quirky. Paired with the fussy cut animals, it was a natural fit.
My scene is set up with using a Layering Circle Framelit to cut the circle frame. On top of the navy panel, I added a sponged foreground (sponged Crumb Cake onto white), placed the mountains in the background, scattered some creatures and slid in the sentiment. To create tiny sparkles in the sky, I carefully removed the teeny tiny extra pieces in the Iridescent Sequins Assortment.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
