Hello and thanks for stopping by today! It’s so much fun to discover new uses for a product. It’s a pleasure to have fresh flowers around the house, any time of year. One of my favorite flowers is the hydrangea, and this time of year does not allow my hydrangea plant to bloom. When it does bloom in the summer, I like to cut a bloom and bring it into my studio for a splash of beauty. Recreating the colors in my project today worked out to be so much fun!
and by the way… Happy New Year, everyone!

Beautiful Bouquet stamp set
Versatile and elegant, the florals and sentiments in this set are a tremendous asset. I chose to keep it simple today by creating a single hydrangea and attaching a stamped tag from Beautiful Bouquet. Linen thread tied into the tag is a nice accent of texture while keeping with the natural look of this project.
Beautiful Bunch Framelits
The framelits are where this bundle really shines. By using three separate flower clusters, formed into a circle, I was able to achieve the look of a single hydrangea flower. The flowering bush outside my back door has the same beautiful blue colors, with a tinge of violet. Using a few of the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, the colors mixed together in a way that is unique. To accent this natural look, I mounted the bloom onto a panel of watercolor paper with some very simple coloring.
