Thanks so much, Fab Friday DT, for choosing my card as a Fave! Your challenge rocks, keep up the great ideas 🙂
Creating an All Occasion Card
This week at the Fab Friday Challenge, there is a color challenge! The idea is to make a card to fit the description. An idea has been floating in my imagination to create a card with the wine bottle and glass from Half Full stamp set and pair it with Background Bits stamp set for atmosphere.
This is a great opportunity to create a card with any products you wish while following the idea of a pre set theme. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!
Half Full & Background Bits stamp sets
Combining stamp sets is common for cardmaking. Often times one particular image will stay in my mind for a while until I start seeing new combinations for it’s use. Such is the case with the wine bottle and the curly background image. Fitting these images into this color challenge is perfect! Tranquil Tide is a nice color to bring the look of glass to both the wine bottle and the wine glass. Rich Razzleberry will pass for wine and grapes and Cajun Craze fits in those other areas that are not predicated by the image. This project was a really fun time with watercoloring, plain and simple!
Creating an All Occasion card
It’s hard to leave a greeting off of a card for me. I live pretty fonts and want to add them everywhere, lol. But it’s almost necessary to have an all occasion card on hand. Better yet if it can work for a guy or a gal. This was my objective in setting out for this project. The stamped images are not gender specific and neither are the colors. This is the key to an all occasion card for my crafting. Plus there is always an opportunity to add something before it’s mailed and that can make it a little more personal. Wine is also a cross-cultural image and will suffice in many countries. It’s a win-win !
