Season to Sparkle Card
October has arrived! This week at the What Will You Stamp challenge, we are stamping with Season to Sparkle stamp set. With Fall being my favorite season, I chose to use the Halloween sentiment on my card in a not-so-spooky way. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!

Season to Sparkle stamp set
There is so much good stuff in this stamp set. I love that the Chandelier Thinlits dies work with Season to Sparkle as well! Because I am Mom to two very young boys, I want to demonstrate how a not scary theme works with this stamp set. The sentiments are what really stand out in Season to Sparkle. Check out the look of the font and how it adds much to the stamped images. I added a black cat just for fun and to help the theme really come across on the project. My kids can understand associating a black cat with Halloween and Mommy associates the gorgeous chandelier in seasonal colors! And there is a bit of sparkle there as well 🙂 Wink of Stella flicks add to the shine of the completed project.
Watercolor smooshing, or what ever name it goes by in your craft world, is a fun and easy form of no-fail watercoloring.
Step 1: starting from a non porous surface, apply ink directly from the stamp pad, then spritz with water
Step 2: Dab the watercolor paper directly into the ink. Keep dabbing until the paper is completely covered
Step 3: Allow to dry, then repeat process until desired look is achieved
For a visual demonstration of this technique, check out this video and then try smooching on your own!
