Anniversary for Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop
Today I am pleased to participate in the Ink & Inspiration Design Team Blog Hop. We are all featuring a project that has been inspired by a wedding or anniversary. I have chosen to use Best Birds stamp set for an anniversary card for my and my husband’s anniversary. It’s a great coincidence this theme is so near my wedding anniversary so I’m sharing a card for my hubby that is color blind. Red and green are colors my husband can not see well so I’m staying away from a lot of greens and sticking to the blues, gold and browns.
Scroll down for the list of blogs featured in this hop. Be sure to visit as many of the design team member’s projects as you can for more great ideas!

Creating a masculine Anniversary card
Anniversary cards for guys can be a challenge. Not too sappy and fancy are what I hear they like most. Add in the color blind factor and it feels like I am given a real cardmaking challenge. And yes, I will meet the challenge!
The patterned paper from Whole Lot of Lovely is gorgeous and holds this nice floral print that is not over the top feminine. It will need to stay away from reds and greens to fit the need. Minimum green and red… check! Working with the colors already present in the paper help this color combo along nicely. The design is a peek-through image. This allows a circle cut in the card front to show through to the inside of the card… while the card is closed. Fun and something not too feminine… check!
