Petal Garden Memories and More Scrapbook Page with Video

Petal Garden Memories and More Scrapbook Page

Summer days, sitting on the back steps are such great memories! Scrapbooking with Petal Garden Memories and More made it easy to create this page. Having the card pack on hand make it easy to whip up a handmade card or a scrapbook page. My kids love texture, so I planned this scrapbook page with touchy feely texture and visual images to match. This is one of my favorite photos of the “early days” as we sat on our back steps on a cool summer evening. Would you call this a group selfie? 🙂

Petal Garden Memories and More Scrapbook Page

Using the Leaf Punch with Petal Garden Memories and More card pack helped to make the images tie in to the photos. My feelings being put into the images and sentiment of these pages will help my kids to remember the early days in New Jersey.

To create the polka dot panel, I used the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Because I wanted a panel that was the full length of a sheet of paper (11′), I embossed the paper a portion at a time. Run it through the Big Shot, then move the folder to the next area and run it again, and repeat until the paper is fully embossed. There will be lines where the design overlaps but covering those places with the matted words will hide them all!

By pooling the ink on an Aqua Painter, I created drips of ink in the colors to match the Petal Garden cards and embossed panel. These drips of color help to tie the design together.
