Color Challenge Baby card for #SIP115 with Video

Color Challenge Baby Card

This week at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge, we are creating with a set of colors. This color challenge baby card color combo is easy and uncomplicated which will allow for many of us to get our creativity motivated. I used Smoky Slate, Pool Party and So Saffron in this project. A Little Wild stamp set is very versatile and makes a great baby card or al all occasion card. After seeing this color challenge, I knew it was going to be all about babies for me.

This is a great opportunity to create a card with any products you wish while following the idea of a pre set theme. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!

A Little Wild stamp set

Elephants, lions and bears, on my! Sweetly drawn images, not scary in the least bit and perfectly suitable for a baby card or any occasion. The unique part of this stamp set is that there is a front and a back image for all three animals! Take this a step further and notice that the Bundle comes with dies that help these animals to become gift tags! Each framelit cuts away the animal in a way that allows the paper to be folded over and turn into a perfectly sized gift tag. Sweet! More mileage in this bundle for crafters.

Watercolor wet on wet Technique

Watercoloring is an easy and personal touch to add to your craft project. Grab a piece of watercolor paper (did you know you can purchase it in my online store?) and an Aqua Painter and have fun! This project and the set of colors I need to use are a great opportunity to let this Mom just have some fun painting. I start out by coating the paper with water from the Aqua Painter. This will allow the ink that I apply to spread out and blend immediately. The ink travels on the water instead of staying in the spot I apply. It’s pretty cool to watch! Once all of the paper is coated in color, I dried it with the heat gun and then created a hazy look with a Whisper White Craft Ink pad. I took the ink pad and just put it down onto the paper. Simple and fun!

To help give dimension to the hazy look of the background, I pooled up some of the same White ink onto an acrylic block and flicked the ink into splatters on the paper. The same Aqua Painter works great to flick off the ink. Did you know there were so may uses for the Aqua Painter? It’s a very handy tool to have around.
