Inspirational Photo for Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop
Today I am pleased to participate in the Ink & Inspiration Design Team Blog Hop. We are all featuring a project that has been inspired by an object or a scene around up. I have chosen to use Thoughts & Prayers stamp set, watercolor smooching + watercolor paper to get the look and feelings that I see when looking through my curtains to the outside neighborhood. It’s a watercolor scene that’s easy to duplicate with success!
Scroll down for the list of blogs featured in this hop. Be sure to visit as many of the design team member’s projects as you can for more great ideas!
My curtains upstairs are pale blue and sheer, which allow us to see outside as if through a blue filter.

Creating a dreamy scene with watercolor
This dreamy looking scene is created using my standard ink pads from Stampin’ Up!. When ink is applied to watercolor paper, it moves over the paper before it is fully absorbed, allowing time to get crazy with the finished look. The watercolor method I have chosen to use is watercolor smooching, which is adding diluted ink to a piece of plastic and then dipping my paper into the plastic. This is a fun way to watercolor and allows the ability to build up color and lift some of it back off.
For technique reference, here is another project that demonstrated ink smooshing in detail on YouTube
Have fun visiting these friend’s blogs!

YOUR Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator
In answer to many questions, yes I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and YES you can join my team. I have a non-geographical team, which means you can live anywhere in the US and participate on my team. I hold monthly meetings via FaceBook LIVE in which you assemble a prepared project. Now is also the best time to join as a hobby demo.
