A lighthouse stamp is very versatile in a cardmaking design. It can be featured in many different ways. For this project, I have chosen to instead feature the sentiment and let the lighthouse be a minor cast member. Keeping the colors muted for everything except the background paper is one way to help let the design be viewed in layers. There are actually 8 layers from card base to beer mug! Being a layering stamp, or 2-step stamp, this drinking glass image can be created in any color combination imaginable! What a great supply resource!
How to add special effects to a stamped image
Working on this beer mug was a ton of fun! I colored it with a blender pen and once dry, went to town in giving it the special effects. There is a glossy shine over the entire mug that was created by spreading a layer of glue and allowing it to dry. The Fine-Tip Glue Pen is clear and dries glossy but not sticky.
Did you notice the foam on the brew? I dabbed on Embossing Paste and sprinkled it with glitter. The entire drink is very sparkly and it’s evident that this mug is the focal point. Such a fun stamp set to create with!
