Carols of Christmas Textured Trees with Video

Carols of Christmas Early Purchase

During the month of August, Stampin’ Up! is giving everyone an early release of the Carols of Christmas products. This is a very unique stamp and die set that is versatile as a Christmas card tool or for general stamping occasions. In today’s card, I have used Carols of Christmas to create textured trees in a night time scene. I think you will like this 10% off Bundle!

Textured Trees with Carols of Christmas

How can one layer of trees let itself stand out against another layer of trees? By changing color we give it a subtle separation but with a change in color and texture we are making a distinct difference of one row of trees from another. The back row of trees in the card not only appear more dark (as they are in the shadows and farther away) but they have been through an embossing folder to give them texture. Petal Burst Embossing Folder has just enough of a brach/leaf look to grab onto the shadows and light for a distinction.

Christmas products versus All Occasion products

I have created a card today that could appear as a Christmas card or be given subtle changes to make it an all occasion card. How would you change this design to suit your card making need?
