Stamping on Glimmer paper for #GDP094

Stamping on Glimmer paper

This week at Global Design Project, there is a sketch challenge. The idea is to get inspiration from a design to create in your new project. I am using Fabulous Flamingo stamp set and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper in my project today. Be sure to visit the Global Design Project by clicking here.

Special Effect; Stamping on Glimmer paper

There have been a few cards I have created with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. But this is the first try stamping on Glimmer paper. Drawing inspiration from the stamp set, Fabulous Flamingo, was a big help to get me from point A to Z. The colors are kept simple to allow the sparkling waters to really stand out.

There were no special preparations to stamping on Glimmer paper. Knowing the ink will bleed a little is a great clue in choosing which stamp to use on this technique. Ripples of water are now sparkling in the warm summer light with the strips of paper. The strips were cut first, then lined back up and stamped. Turning the stamp to the opposite side will help to get a natural feel to the look of the sparkling waters. This is a fun technique and will lend many possibilities!
