Floral Statements is a beautifully drawn, large word stamp. There are roses nestled in amongst the letters and give a natural look to the large stamp. It’s large enough in fact to stand alone on a handmade card. Being that it is handmade, you get to choose what color you would like for the roses! That, my friends, is one of my secret favorite things about creating handmade cards. Well of course there are sequins, another favorite thing 😉
Watercolor Pencils & Floral Statements
Creating an original and natural looking image can be achieved with ease while using Watercolor Pencils. You’ll need an Aquapainter or wet paintbrush, a paper towel to clean the brush in between colors, the dry stamped image and Watercolor Pencils. Apply the pencils to the paper and give it a light mess around with the wet brush. You are done!
The images on this card have been stamped with brown ink. They are nicely drawn roses that allow for a nice contrast to the ink stamped letters. My husband really likes this card, he likes the simplicity and the fact that the roses are pretty. I’m thinking about giving the flowers a coat of Fine Tip Glue Pen for a glossy shine!
For a visual demonstration of these techniques, see the video below.
