Repeating a pattern is an easy way to create visual interest on a card project. This week at Global Design Project, there is a theme challenge. It was no trouble at all to envision using In The City stamp set in a repeat pattern on today’s card.

The boys are young and still like to play with cars, trains, trucks, dune buggies… you name it. If it has wheels they are in. My oldest son, Trip, often looks at the images I stamp and tells me his thoughts. I love when he is able to share thoughts with me and in particular about my work. When glancing at this card he at once pointed out that there is a limousine. The other vehicles were named as well but with much less enthusiasm!
The trick to getting the stamps lined up for me is to use my Grid Paper. I used the lines to get all of the vehicles spaced and even, then placed a clear block on them to pick them up exactly as they were placed. Now it’s no worry at all to stamp with clear sticky ink and heat set the gold embossing powder.
