Birthday Memories DSP
Birthday Memories DSP is my favorite new patterned paper. Having the versatility of fussy cutting or using dies to cut away the images makes it too easy to use this beautiful paper. This week at Global Design Project, there is a sketch challenge. It was no trouble at all to envision Birthday Memories DSP featuring on today’s card.

Birthday Memories DSP
I love this little raccoon. He reminds me of my oldest son, who very much wants to play the trumpet. He has had a few play horns but my son is smart enough to know the difference! I used three different sides of the paper pack in this project and they all work together so well! The beautiful images remind me of the images from my childhood; Golden Books and illustrations by Richard Scarry. Happy memories are coming back with Birthday Memories.
Tips for Birthday Memories DSP & Birthday Delivery
Here are a few tips in using these new products. Firstly, with any new stamp set, the photopolymer images will not stamp perfectly until they are “seasoned”. Have you ever tried to use a brand new cast iron skillet? Not such a great experience? Clear, or photopolymer, stamps will need to be used a few times before they work their best.
When an image is die cut or fussy cut by hand, there is a white edge where the paper has been cut away. To give your image a more polished or finished look, use a marker’s brush end edge to run along the cut edge. The white portion of the paper will be colored and hidden from the eye. The result gives a sharpness to your project that could easily be the focal point.
Some sentiments can contain a group of words that work well on their own. They can be featured by masking off the unwanted portion or simply cut away with sharp scissors. When needed, place them together on a clear block and they stamp as originally designed. You now have more possibilities using products in your stash!
