This week, the Global Design Project challenge has a color challenge. The idea is to create a card design that features a certain color combination in a card project. To view the projects for this challenge, please visit the Global Design Project page by clicking here. I am creating a watercolor wash background for my card today with Colorful Seasons. This Bundle is available in the upcoming Annual catalog.
Watercolor Wash with Colorful Seasons
Watercolor Wash works great with Colorful Seasons stamp and die bundle which will accommodate all four seasons. Spring flowers in Watermelon Wonder and a background of plush grass in Cucumber Crush bring peace and calm to my eye. To create the watercolor wash panel, I first coated a piece of watercolor paper with water using an Aqua Painter. A paintbrush and tap water will also work well for this technique. Dripping the ink with the brush directly from a stamp pad or a re-inker will allow the ink to spread across the wet area. This lends a natural watercolor wash that will cover the surface. After it’s completely dry, stamp as usual and adhere to a panel with Fast Fuse adhesive.
