Masked sentiment thank you card

Today I am sharing one way to create a masked sentiment with All Things Thanks stamp set. There are many sentiments to choose from and in many different fonts. The script font is appealing to my eye but does not fit the occasion of my card. By using the masking technique I can select a portion of the stamp to show up on my card and keep the remainder hidden. Imagine how many new sentiments you can create with this technique! The theme challenge this month at Paper Chain Gang Challenge is to create a thank you card. My inspiration for this card was taken from the challenge. Please check out all of the cards on their FaceBook page.

Eastern Palace is available to purchase today! Are you ready to get three of the new 2017/19 In Colors right now?

The two bundles are available for purchase to the public starting TODAY through May 31st only. If you would like to join now then you can get them in your Starter Kit for $99 including shipping costs. I would love to have you as a member of my team. It is totally okay to join for the discount and not create a business! If you have any questions, please email me at jennystampsup.com and I am here to help you.

Design Details

I chose a color combo of Soft Suede, Emerald Envy and Crushed Curry. Striking combinations really compliment simple stamping and help to bring the design around the card. Party Animal DSP is a perfect compliment to create a thank you card for my sons, Trip and Nate, for recently receiving Easter gifts. They love the animals in this paper!

To mask off a portion of a stamp, there are a few choices. Washi tape was close at hand so I used a small strip of the tape to cover up the portion of the stamp that I did not want to show up on my card. Once inked up, peel away the washi tape and discard it before stamping on the paper. You will now have an image of the portion of the stamp that received the ink. Easy peasy!
