How to use Eastern Medallions dies with Video

Working with new stamps and dies can be so much fun but can also be daunting. Today I would like to share one way that I have used the new Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies from the Eastern Palace Bundle special pre order. The two bundles are available for purchase to the public starting May 1st through 31st only. If you are a demonstrator you can order it NOW or join now to get them in your Starter Kit for $99 including shipping costs. Creating guy cards has never been this easy!

Design Details

I chose a color combo of black, gold and bright green. Striking combinations really compliment Eastern Medallions. Using Gold Glimmer Paper behind the die cut allowed the green color and gold elements to not compete against one another but instead be complimented by black. Gold sequins from Metallics Sequin Assortment bring the gold down to draw the eye to the sentiment.

Using Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies

To create the die cut, I used all three companion dies from Eastern Medallions as they were set up in the package. Knowing what will work together is one easy way to start a project ūüôā ¬† ¬†Applying a strip of washi tape to keep them together is one way to help your dies stay in place. The largest straight edge circle from Layering Circles Framelits Dies works great to either cut away the medallion or make a window to allow the medallion to show through the card. For a visual demonstration, please watch the video at the link below.
