With the coming of new products in the June release of the 2017 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog, we all see loads of new ideas. I’d like to not forget the well loved stamps in our craft supply. Painter’s Palette stamp set works great with many designs but I notice special connections between this stamp set and the new pack of patterned paper, Pick a Pattern DSP. Many design echoes of other Stampin’ Up! products are included in this package of paper. Keep an eye out for the items in your stash that match.

Realizing the connection between Painter’s Palette stamp set and the new Pick a Pattern DSP was an “a-ha moment” that brought me new ideas. The DSP that accompanied the stamp in the current catalog is very artsy but does not really fit my style. However, this set of hand drawn images is more to my taste and I’m really liking the look.
I pulled the color choices directly from the patterned paper; Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White. Inside the card are stamped Crushed Curry and Emerald Envy. To create the easel, I stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White card stock and fussy cut around the image. After cut, I stamped the paint splatter in Flirty Flamingo followed directly by the sentiment in black. For interest I added a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots in yellow at the corner of the card.

Painter’s Palette stamp set is available now in the current catalog. If you do not have it yet, it would be a great choice for general cardmaking. Works for a guy or a gal and especially for someone in your life that has been bitten by the art bug 😉
