Patterned paper is a great tool to use on a cardmaking project. How do you use the very bold patterns? I admit that I have a bit of difficulty in using them and often will set them aside. In this project, I embraced the boldness and looked for a common thread to tie in for the design. That thread was found in Carousel Birthday stamp set, with the echo of the same stripes.
Bold patterns, beware! I will use you in a project! Finding the same design element in common does not always happen at once, like the bold stripes in this card. Pop of Pink DSP and Carousel Birthday stamp set now seem like they were made to work together. I chose to use gold heat embossing to make the stamping stand out from the patterned paper and backed it up with a milder, flip side of the paper. Metallic Enamel Shapes were a perfect way to spread around the sparkle.
