This month, I am using the March Paper Pumpkin kit stamps to make bunny cards. Being an animal lover, I also like to recreate them in my crafting. And my kids love animals as well. In making this project, I chose to make a “punch art” type of bunny that reminds me of a bunny, peeping over a hedge.
The Layering Circles and Layering Ovals die sets work perfect for creating shapes. They are also in a scalloped form or straight sided, both of which work great together. I chose to use the scallop version to create more contrast between the object and the card base.
The face is stamped in a few steps, all of which were simple. The background is created with a sponge dauber and Soft Sky ink pad. Moving the dauber around in a circular motion helps to minimize any harsh ink lines. Using a light hand will definitely get you a more even result.

A kit can inspire great ideas or it can get the job done really fast. Either way, it works for me 🙂 April’s kit has been designed by Sara Douglass and promises to be extra special. AND SHE HAS INCLUDED A FREE GIFT INSIDE THE KIT!! Very cool. Thanks for stopping by today.
