Everyday Hero card with video

You can be a superhero. Yes, YOU! Or at least I feel as if I can put myself on a card and bring you all some love. Check out Everyday Hero stamp set, that has the images of both a guy and a gal super hero. As I was looking through stamp sets for my next card project, I imagined this super girl with a heart in her hand, as if bringing love and support to everyone. It sounds a little silly in hindsight but I like this idea still the same.

To achieve masking, I use this technique:

  1. Stamp the image that you would like to be on the foreground of the card onto a piece of scrap paper, copy paper or masking paper. Cut out this image, staying just outside of the stamped lines.
  2. Stamp the image on your card stock as you would like it to appear, in the place you want it to appear. Now, place this cut out mask on top of the same stamped image. Your card stock stamped image is now under the protective mask.
  3. Now it’s time to stamp the image you wanted to appear in the background, or behind  your focal image. In this case, I wanted the star burst image to appear behind the superhero, and NOT be stamped on top of her head and legs. She now appears to be in front of the burst.

To give some texture and break up the design element, I used a piece of Glimmer Paper. I hope you like this card, it will be easy for your to duplicate. Thanks for stopping by the blog today, I’m so glad you are here 🙂
