Creating an eskimo winter scene with video

Is it cold where you live? Just when I thought winter was dwindling down in the US Northeast, we get another cold blast. Imagining that I feel like an eskimo, I was inspired to make a card with an eskimo and igloo. And I can’t resist a fox in the mix ๐Ÿ™‚

measurements for this project:
Blue layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
A Little Foxy DSP background: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Blue layer for foxes cut away from previous blue layer at 1 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
A Little Foxy DSP of foxes in a row: 1 3/4″ x 3 7/8″
Whisper White card stock scraps for sentiment, stamp and die cuts
Thick Whisper White card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

To create the igloo, I used the Brick Wall Embossing Folder to get the look of ice blocks. I then used the Layering Ovals to cut out a dome shape and also the door of the ice structure. The eskimo is created with stamping Smoky Slate ink onto white paper and punched out with the Cookie Cutter Punch.

For a visual demonstration of this project, take a look at the video I made for this project.

This card is a bit busy but really was simple to create. I have already chose who will receive this card. A friend that I have not seen in several months and lives in a nursing home farther away than I can get to easily, and she will love the foxes and eskimos. Today, I encourage you to send someone a card…. just because. Let them know they are are thought of and it could mean more than you know. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I’m so glad you are here ๐Ÿ™‚
