It’s been a few months since I used a Paper Pumpkin kit to change up some card ideas. Frankly, the kits were great the way they were. This month is also a fantastic kit idea! But I do feel the need to give it a customization. Here are three different ideas for your Paper Pumpkin kit for this month.
The first card is created with the darkest of the three cards. I used the birthday sentiment that came with the kit and added stamping from Beetles & Bugs stamps. Making this card was really fun! I plan to give this to my son, Trip, for his birthday. I think kids will enjoy the idea of pulling out a tab to reveal the card inside. Also, the card image goes past the window portion so the image of bugs going by should appeal to the curiosity of a child.
In making the second card, I felt a smile coming on. Pulling the clouds and balloon from the tab worked out well visually. And allowing the clouds to roll by the window worked out too! Altogether I think I liked this version the best.
Lastly, I had to use this cute image of birthday cake from Designer Tee stamp set. The sentiment from Designer Tee fit in the window perfect! I used several different generations of ink to get the faded or ombre look. This design seems like a guy card to me, for sure.
I followed the general instructions to assemble the cards. All instructions are included in the kit and also in an instruction video. And all supplies are included as well. They make it so easy to put these together. I kept the card size the way it was intended because each card has a matching envelope. Having an envelope that is this size is too great to pass up. So these cards can be mailed as is, in an envelope that fits. Nice!
