This week, the Global Design Project challenge is copying a card by Kylie Bertucci in a cardmaking project. The idea is to create a card design that is inspired by her card. To view the projects for this challenge, please visit the Global Design Project page by clicking here
To create this Easter card, I used Easter Message stamp set. The palm image worked well in the place of a large floral stamped image. I stamped it all over the white paper, making sure the images did in fact hang off the edge of the paper. This gives a more pleasing look to the finished product.
To meet the specifics of the challenge, I created a sentiment holder from a strip of white card stock and the Stylish Stems Framelits dies. I then used the lily image to stamp, fussy cut, and placed into the sentiment. Purple enamel dots brought in the purple layer to the card front to finish it all off.
Measurements for this project are:
Tip Top Taupe card stock for card base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (top folded and scored from 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″)
Perfect Plum card stock layer: 3″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White card stock front: 2 7/8″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White & Tip Top Taupe card stock scraps for medallion die cuts & stamped flower
