Kids are ready for a new season and what better way to get into things, than to make a craft! Basket Bunch stamp set is about the most kid friendly stamp and die bundle in the Occasions catalog for me. The kids love all of the images! Let’s start things off with the image of a marshmallow bunny. Can you say, PEEP! ?
Measurements for this project are:
Vellum wrap around strip: 2 1/4″ x 6″ and a little scrap of white paper for the sentiment
Whisper White card embossed panel: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Whisper White card stock layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (also used for creating the bunny die cuts
Wisteria Wonder card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (cut from 4 1/4″ x 11″)
The bunny colors just pop off the paper in this card. I wanted to get the effect of high contrast color, using colors that I have actually seen with this candy. I don’t eat Peeps and neither do my kids but the idea is appealing to them. Let’s pretend they are gummies and then we’d have success with the kids 🙂 For the stamping and die cutting of the bunnies, I used the layering panel of Whisper White card stock. Why not use what will not show?
The sentiment is created using Labeler Alphabet. This stamp set helps make any words you want, any! So in keeping with the marshmallow bunny theme, here is “PEEP!” in Wisteria Wonder, stamped onto a scrap of white card stock.

Using an embossing folder is a great way to get a unified look to your card and lend a feeling to the person receiving the card. If they can see the texture, odds are they will touch it. I will explore this technique in an upcoming Online Creative Cards class. Be sure to check out the March classes that will explore using Creative Die Cuts.

We all make cards that will appeal to kids, or to the kid in some adults, LOL. When fun is the name of the game, make someone laugh with a clean and simple card idea. I would love to see what you are crafting. If you would like to share a photo of your card, email it to me at [email protected] Can’t wait to see your creations!
