Urban District badge ribbon card with video

A new idea is always welcome to a creative mind. I had a long look at Urban District stamp set, to see what the possibilities would be that are beyond making Dad cards. I do like the idea of Dad cards, don’t get me wrong, but I like to get the most from my craft products. It occurred to me that I could make a blue ribbon badge styled card from one of the stamps. Bingo! This card design will work out great for sending supportive cards out to my Demonstrator Team members.

I kept the design clean and simple, using only a single layer card. I used up some scraps from card stock to make all of the dangles and added a length of ribbon for texture. Silver heat embossing the small cluster of hexagons adds a nice sparkle and a bit of smooth texture to the bard base as well. Clean and simple will get the job done.

Measurements for this project are:
Kraft card stock scraps
Whisper White scraps/strips
Thick Whisper White card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ after scored and folded

For a visual demonstration of this project, take a look at the video I made for this project.

Making this card was easy and fun. And it has loads of texture that someone will feel in their hand when they open the envelope. Is there a favorite way you like using texture? I would love to see what you are crafting. If you would like to share a photo of your card, email it to me at [email protected]   Can’t wait to see your creations!
