One morning while getting my son’s lunch box ready for school, it occurred to me that I could be putting little notes into my son’s lunch box. Does this qualify as a papercrafter fail? I decided to remedy this situation right away and work up some little note cards that are just for my boy. He loves animals and I love making him happy! Barnyard babies would fill the job and I will toss in some cute critters from Love You Lots as well. Now we are cooking with crisco 🙂
It was no trouble making this idea come to life. I imagined the animals in a scene or alone on a card. My son may like to color in the image so I decided to leave it uncolored and not in a scene. Using the paper and card stock from 2015-2017 In Colors would also make this project finish in a zip.
Here are the measurements for this project:
-card stock base: 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
-white card stock layer: 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
-Designer Paper layer: 3 5/8″ x 3 5/8″
-white card stock card front, cut from Stitched Shapes die: 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ after die cut
I streamlined my stamping by placing the animal image and the sentiment on the block together. All stamping is done with the one color ink pad so the majority of the project time was used in cutting paper on the trimmer. And it really didn’t take too long to make these cards.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂
