I’m ready to mail my love notes, send out teacher cards and let my people know I am thinking of them with love and affection. Valentine’s Day is the one time of the year that it is acceptable to behave in a mushy way. I’m taking advantage of it and hearts will be flying in the mail!
The What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog‘s theme this week is to use Sealed with Love stamp set on a card project. Here is my project for using this stamp set. To view the challenge cards from the design team and from crafters like me and you, click here to go to the blog page.
The card base is made with Thick Whisper White card stock. Once it is scored and folded, it measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (standard US card base). I used a layer of white card stock that is 1/8″ smaller than the card base. The embossed piece of paper is 1/8″ smaller than the white layer. For a nice balance visually, I featured the focal images in frame style design. The stamping was done on regular Whisper White paper. Do you see the tiny white envelope is made from glassine? It is semi-transparent and adds the most lovely bit it interest to a project.
The sentiments are stamped with Mint Macaron and Real Red ink. The card stock and ink colors match, which is a big help in knowing what ingredients will go into a project. In this design, I really wanted the texture to be the focus. There is texture in the background from the embossing folder, the ribbon, the embellishment, and the glassine envelope. Even the card stock has the texture added from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you so much for your support with your purchase 🙂
When gifting a card that will land into someone’s hand, it’s not always the first thought for adding texture. However, it may often be the one thing that is remembered about your card. Don’t forget to pop over to the What Will You Stamp Challenge to see all of the great cards. Thanks for stopping by today, I hope to have you here again soon 🙂
