Stamps from your stash. Do they get used enough or forgotten in lieu of something new? I’ve been digging in the drawer this week to use some “not-so-new” stamps for Valentines Day card ideas. The products in the Occasions Catalog are fantastic and I have so many new ideas but can’t forget that the stamps in the drawer were new once upon a time 🙂 Let’s check out Barnyard Babies as a sweet heart card. I think this project would be great for any friend or family member, not just a spouse or significant other.
The card base is made from Thick Whisper White card stock, which is sturdy enough to hold the panels well. I layered pieces of Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede card stock and used another piece of white as the main focus. I stamped tone on tone for the little piggies. Pink Pirouette is a soft pink and is nicely complimented by the brown of Soft Suede.
Measurements for this project are:
-Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
-Soft Suede card stock cut at 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ (to sit under the pink)
-Pink Pirouette card stock cut at 4 1/4″ x 3 3/8″
-Whisper White (this in an additional piece) card stock cut at 4 1/4″ x 2″
The center panel was created by stamping the word image at random, all around the paper. I filled in the white space with pink heart from Subtles Enamel Shapes to bring in the pink coloring and balance the look.
