Are you ready for Valentine’s Day cards? Oh and I have another stamp set to use them with! Foxy Friends is a set of stamps that are featured in the Annual Catalog. It is not marketed as a Valentine’s Day stamp set but I feel it will work very well. Do you already have this stamp set in your stash? Isn’t it great when you can repurpose a product for another season? I love it. Here is my version of an “I love you” card using some not-so-new products.
I used a Thick Whisper White card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ after scored and folded. To decorate the card front, I used a heart cut out from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits dies. One large heart would help to convey the message of the card. I stamped the tree trunk directly to the card base using Chocolate Chip ink. Chocolate Chip has a red base which pairs perfectly with the Cherry Cobbler marker used on the hearts. Having a color wheel around is a great way to help use the colors that will compliment one another.
My friend the skunk was punched out of black and white paper and glued together on the heart. For a detailed demonstration of how I made this part of the card, please refer to the video tutorial. There are tips in the video for using the punch to make a few pieces that you may find useful. The little love note image was made by using markers and coloring in the different parts of the stamp. I used a MISTI tool to help make this easy.

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂
These heart dies are so much fun! The whimsical images in this stamp set can also be used alone in a project which is a nice way to stretch your crafty supplies. Stay tuned for more projects using these cool heart dies.
