Today I am pleased to bring you a project that I made as a Guest Designer for What Will You Stamp. I am thrilled to share in this card making challenge and want to take this opportunity to thank the Design Team for allowing me to participate. The stamp set of this week’s challenge is Here’s to Cheers by Stampin’ Up!, that is featured in the 2016 Holiday Catalog. I invite you all to go over to the blog and view the complete gallery of cards from the Design Team. They have done some great work! CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE SITE
For this card, I chose to work with the patterned paper as the focus, and show a gingerbread house as the main design element. I used patterned paper (DSP) and twine from Candy Cane Lane to pair with the Challenge’s featured stamp set; Here’s to Cheers. This stamp set is made to work great with the gift tag dies but also works nicely on greeting cards.
I used a white card base (measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ after scored and folded) with another piece of white card stock to lay over the patterned paper. Since the patterned paper shows only on one side, I used but a 2″ strip which leaves me plenty of paper to make more cards 🙂 The gingerbread house was fussy cut and raised on dimensionals. Over all, this is a very clean design that lets the paper do it’s job. It is easy to mass produce or to change over to a birthday card.
I made a video tutorial for this project, to watch the video CLICK HERE or watch below
