Today I bring you a card that was made for a challenge over at Global Design Project. The theme of this week’s challenge is a sketch challenge, make a card that fits a certain design. On my to-do list are a number of things, one of which is to start making thank you cards with a new stamp set called So Very Much. I am excited to use this stamp set to make the thank you notes we send after Christmas. Thus, this card idea became a new project.
I invite you all to go over to the blog and view the complete gallery of cards from the Design Team. They have done some great work! CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE SITE
Do you have plenty of crafty supplies left over from making your Christmas cards? I have spools of twine that can be used on other projects but I hate to waste a good Christmas craft opportunity, LOL. For this project, I used Candy Cane Lane Twine and the Christmas Pines stamp set. This stamp set has a small Holly & Berries image that fits very well with the sentiments in the So Very Much Sale A Bration stamp set. Having the large, scripty “Thank You” sentiment fit perfectly onto the note card was no surprise at all. I can see using this set of notecards and stamp for gift giving opportunities throughout the year. The note card/envelope packet from Stampin’ Up! are strong enough to not require layering, which makes putting a project together a snap.
I used a scrap of Whisper White Thick card stock to make the hanging portion of the greeting. For the holly and berries, I used markers to add color to the stamp, which made it easy to stamp two colors at once onto the paper.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂
If you are ready to start on thank you cards, I would suggest purchasing the notecard & envelope combo from Stampin’ Up!. It’s a great item to keep on hand and a great gift set to give a friend.
Thank you for visiting my blog today and checking out my latest card making project. I hope you find a simple card design and make it your own. Don’t forget to look at the Global Design Project page to see all of the fantastic projects for this challenge. Lets make it together!
