Being prepared for gift giving by having a ready-made tag on hand, is a great feeling for me. I can gift a bottle of wine to a friend and instead of it being just a pretty bottle, it is a personalized gift that someone will remember for days. The one product from the 2016 Holiday Catalog that I will keep on hand after it expires, is this set of stamp and dies. Here’s to Cheers stamp set and the Cheerful Tags Framelits dies will be a great resource.
There are two different styled tag dies in the set, as well as several more dies that allow me to customize my tag to the gift receiver’s tastes. It goes fancy if you need fancy and if I want it more simple, the tag design is enough to carry itself. I cut tags from both cardstock and patterned paper and they both worked equally well. The cool thing about using pattern paper is there are two different sides and they usually coordinate together. Check out the picture of the tag with pinecones on one side and red knit on the other. A perfect compliment.
To complete each tag, I grabbed a ribbon that would work well with the colors of the paper. Twine works great for this and also a nice satin ribbon. Making these tags is a great way to use your craft supplies and not hoarding all those cute jingle bells. (no I am not talking to anyone in particular… LOL!) They are very easy to assemble. I suggest you first choose a paper, then grab a stamp that will fit your occasion and start decorating. You could match ink and paper choice to give a polished look or go crazy and make it over the top. Whichever way you go, it will surely be a memory trinket that your friend will stash away in a drawer and remember your happy times together.
