I have been busily working behind the scenes to design and make video tutorials for the Christmas Stamp Camp. I am pleased to premier the fourth (and final) card in the stack (fourth of 4 card designs). This card has many pieces but is deceivingly easy to assemble. There is a lot of paper in this card! It lends a striking final image without being too heavy for the post.
In keeping with not wanting to add too much bulk to a card that will be mailed, I kept the layers lightweight. I used colors that have high contrast, which will enhance the visual effect overall. You can even “hollow out” the panel units that are hiding behind the layers to reduce more bulk. The layers are offset to carry through the contrasting colors and move the eye but you could set them all straight and still have a striking card. The card size is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, standard US card size.
There are three characters in this production: the bear image with the sentiment, the bright layer with glitter paper and bow and then the large layers themselves. I tied them all together using colors. If you look closely, the colors echo in each unit. This design lends to the overall effect. The bear was very easy to create using the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and it’s coordinating punch. I attached the ears from behind his head, as they are not part of the main bear image. The patterned paper reminds me of theatre curtains, what do you think? He looks to be on a stage, well dressed with his bow tie.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂
