Welcome to our International Visual Blog Hop using current Stampin’ Up!® Products. We have all created this gallery of projects for you to be inspired by! We would love it if you could visit every one of our blogs and see a close up of our projects. Our theme this month is LOVE because as card makers we love spreading the love. You can see the gallery below and this will be on every blog that you click on so you will never be lost. You are currently with Jenny Hall of USA.
My card for this project is made using Lift Me Up stamps and Up & Away dies that will be available in the 2017 Occasions Catalog starting January 4th. There is an image of a floating cloud of love in the 16 piece stamp set that works nicely to convey the theme of this Blog Hop. A Blog Hop is a fantastic way for the internet to showcase a group of crafters that will make a project with a common theme and connect these projects into one central showcase.
My card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, top folded and made of Smoky Slate cardstock. I have layers of Whisper White, Basic Gray that include a piece of patterned paper from Carried Away DSP. The color tones are muted and kept simple in order to allow the pink hearts really show up nicely. I also used a variety of textures in this project. I find that die cuts work great to give an interest toward the overall look. Scrap cardstock works really great for this project.
I chose to give the illusion of depth by strategically placing the small clouds to appear in the background and the larger clouds close to the front and sides. The hot air balloon hangs off to the bottom left and one heart appears to float away. I like the feeling of whimsy these images give to this project.
