Swap cards and the new ideas we gain from them
As many of you know, I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and I truly love my job. I enjoy bringing you all new card projects and sharing my creativity with others. I get a chance to help crafters when they reach a creative road block and need new ideas and I premier new products before they are available for purchase.
This past weekend, I attended OnStage Local in Secaucus, NJ with a large amount of demonstrators as we came together to smile with one another, share stories and projects and get information on the upcoming Spring/Occasions catalog. I don’t want to ruin our Christmas projects and stop the Christmas Card idea train, LOL, so I will not bog you all down with too much before the holidays.
I do want to share some fun things with you all! I participated in swapping cards at the events and am so impressed with some of the work you all are doing! I give you all a great big high five for the ideas you are sharing and your projects are looking great! I decided to keep my swapping to a minimum so I made but 20 cards to share. Though that is a large number for the idea of creating cards, think about it this way: is there a method you can use to make cards that is a streamlined process? I chose an easy design that was striking to the eye and would be easy for anyone to duplicate.
Part of the fun in swapping is being able to try the card ideas out for your own projects. I will be featuring three cards this month that are based on my favorite swap cards. Here are some pictures of the cards I received for gifting mine in return.
Are you impressed with the hard work that went into these cards? I am excited to start my versions of a few or these cards and share the ideas with you all.
Would you like a giveaway? Leave me a comment on THIS POST, and I will choose a winner to receive a package of some of these fantastic cards! Winner will be chosen at random.
Thank you for visiting my blog today and checking out these fantastic card swaps. I hope you find a simple card design and make it your own. I am itching to show you all of the wonderful new items coming up in the Spring catalog. If you are interested in receiving a catalog and sample made from new products, please contact me for details. I would love to share the new bits and bugs with YOU! 🙂

JOIN THE SWAP!!
As Demonstrators prepare for OnStage in November, we will all be busily making “swap” cards. For those unable to go to OnStage, they do not get to experience the swap on a large scale. If you would like to participate in an “Across the Miles Swap”, please contact me to sign up. Here is how it will work: You will need to sign up to participate by November 15th. Once we close off the sign up date, I will contact you to let you know how many cards to make for swap. You will get back as many as you send in. If you want to swap one card, then sign up to send in one card. If you want to swap with all particiants, I will let you know how many to make and that’s how many you will send in and get back. This is a great way to share your work with others and to see what everyone else is doing. I do not anticipate this swap to go too big but if it does then I will break us into groups so as not to have everyone make a ton of cards. Are you ready to join the swap? You have until Nov 15th to sign up. Let’s make it together! (open to demos and non-demos)
Are you interested in purchasing one of the finished cards I have featured on a blog post? Visit my Etsy shop at www.jennystampsup.etsy.com for a small selection. If the card you are looking for is not there, drop me a note and I will place it in the shop for you. -Jenny xoxo
