Paper Pumpkin is here! In today’s post, I will make a card from the kit as per the directions included and I will also make a card of my own design. Paper Pumpkin is great about including everything you need to make the project, just add scissors. The card in the below left picture is made from the card’s instructions, with 3 windows for shaker components. The card on the right is what I came up with using Vintage Leaves stamps and framelits.
Here is the instructional video from Paper Pumpkin. CLICK HERE TO WATCH or watch below.
Making the first card was easy peasy. There are even choices in paper color and a really cool stamp set with a background crackled look. The card front layers are already die cut too.
To make my own design, I decided to use a card base from the kit, grab a piece of vanilla from my stash and use 1/2 of another card kit card base. I cut it in half on my paper trimmer, die cut a leaf image in this piece and get ready to layer the vanilla between the two pieces.
The sequins in this kit are really nice. There are three sizes of the sequins to use and in a variety of fall colors. I used a few of the die cuts on the front of the card for interest and colored them with the ink spot included in the kit. These cards measure 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, standard US card size.
I made a video tutorial for this card project, CLICK HERE TO WATCH or watch below…

YOUR Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator
JOIN THE SWAP!!
As Demonstrators prepare for OnStage in November, we will all be busily making “swap” cards. For those unable to go to OnStage, they do not get to experience the swap on a large scale. If you would like to participate in an “Across the Miles Swap”, please contact me to sign up. Here is how it will work: You will need to sign up to participate by November 15th. Once we close off the sign up date, I will contact you to let you know how many cards to make for swap. You will get back as many as you send in. If you want to swap one card, then sign up to send in one card. If you want to swap with all particiants, I will let you know how many to make and that’s how many you will send in and get back. This is a great way to share your work with others and to see what everyone else is doing. I do not anticipate this swap to go too big but if it does then I will break us into groups so as not to have everyone make a ton of cards. Are you ready to join the swap? You have until Nov 15th to sign up. Let’s make it together! (open to demos and non-demos)
